Wool Changing Pad
You wouldn't put your baby in a plasticky diaper, so why would you want to change their diaper while they lay on a plasticky changing pad? You wouldn't!
Wool makes a great diaper changing mat because it is a natural moisture barrier. Our wool changing pads and puddle pads are made from the same thick woven and fulled wool as our Fuzbomb diaper covers. The pad will keep the changing table or bed dry, and you can wash and dry it with the diapers. No special care needed, though your changing pad will last longer and work better if you wash with Eucalan.

Wool for Puddle Pads
Moisture buffer
Dry bed. Wool is water repellant because of the structure of the fiber. Wool will keep your changing table and bed dry.
Dry baby. Wool is vapor absorbent. Though wool resists liquid (which is why we don't use it for diapers), it can absorb water vapor up to 35% of its own weight.
Wool does what engineered, technical fibers which they could do. Wool is the fiber they are trying to be.
Regulates temperature
Cool baby / warm baby. Wool regulates temperature keeping your child cooler when it's warm and warmer when it's cool because wool traps air in the spaces between fibers.
So soft
Comfortable baby. We use super fine merino wool, 17-19 microns. These super fine fibers are very soft against the skin.
Best for health
Better sleep. Studies show that adults and babies sleep better on top of and under wool because they fuss less.
Hypoallergenic. Wool causes fewer allergies than other materials, If your baby is sensitve to lanolin, a common cause of what people assume is wool allergies, you can easily care for your changing pad without lanolin.
Mildew resistant. The structure of wool, an outer membrane with a resistance to bacteria and fungi, helps keep wool fabrics mildew resistant---something you want with a pad that might get a little bit wet regularly.
Easy Care
Odor-resistant. Wool's chemical structure binds odors until you wash your changing pad.
Easy wash. Don't even worry about washing. Just wash with diapers.
Easy dry. You can dry with the diapers as well, though your changing pad will be smoother if you dry it flat so weight doesn't distort its shape.
